12/29/2005 - 2005 was a great year. The website has grown and I'm very happy for all the progress that's been made, and all the people that have made it possible. You have my undying gratitude and I hope I can continue to entertain you through 2006 and beyond. With that in mind, here's what's on the plate for next year:

Moving - I'll be moving into my own place in January. As far as the website goes, this should be a seamless undertaking and I don't anticipate any interruption in comic updates and other services. Along with this, I've updated my e-mail contact information in the title bars of all the web pages, and we'll be updating the contact information on the privacy policy and refund policy pages as soon as I have a new address and phone number.

WIP - The next project to be worked on will be about Rachel. It'll probably be one of the more perverse comics I've put together in a long time. I can't put aside a completion date, yet, since I'm not sure how much January's move is going to eat into my production time. Speaking of the catalog, as soon as I get a little bit of free time next year, I'm going to give a call to Authorize.net and see if there's anything they can do about lifting some more stringent authorization standards that are denying a lot of foreign customers access.

Blog - The Sketchblog is still stalled in a state of near-completion. After I've settled into my new surroundings, if my current programmer is still deluged with everything other than the sketchblog, I'm going to start shopping around for good .php programmers that can pick up the ball. The trick is going to get everything to sync up with iBill's service as well as retain current subscribers.

FAQ - I'll be putting together a JayNaylor.com FAQ to help address some of the questions I continue to get on a regular basis. Hopefully, this will address a lot of the persistent questions before they're e-mailed.

11/24/2005 - It's been a while since I've written a news update, but things have been chugging along at a fairly standard clip. Some things are going to change around the website. Mainly, the Hell for Humanity comic is going to be put on permanent vacation. I've come to the conclusion that I can't manage it while I devote time to keeping Better Days up to date, along with the other projects that actually earn their keep and allow me to pay my bills. The stuff that I've finished will remain up, but the header page will reflect the ceasation of work on the project.

WIP - The Beth project continues to progress. It's a light story and it only has one character in it. I hope to have it ready by the beginning of December for catalog release. I'm going to try cell shading instead of the gradient gray that I used for the past few projects.

The Future - I'm going to be moving early next year. I'll be getting my own place and living on my own for the first time without any roomates. This is all possible due to the income of this website and I thank everyone who supports my hard work and efforts in making a little bit of entertainment. I don't forsee an interruption Better Days during that time period, and will work hard to ensure that the comic is updated as expected. My e-mail address has already changed. My Charter e-mail address will still be good until I move next year.

8/17/2005 - There are some new things to report that I didn't really get into during the last news update. Progress on the Lance Cannon project proceeds at a rather good clip. I'm pretty sure I can have it done by the end of September. I'm over halfway through the pencils, and once they're done, it's all brainless inking and shading. And, oh yeah, text.

New Links - There's a host of new links that have been made since I last mentioned the links page in any news update. One link I wanted to mention in particular is Wild Frontier, a comic produced by my good friend, Todd Starr. He's taken the original Wild Frontier paper comic and colored the pages and is now publishing it as a web comic. It's a neat story and it's completely clean. Check it out!

I've also been toying with the idea of adding even more links under new categories, cataloging many of the sites that I visit that don't partain to webcomics or people I know. These include other entertainment websites and web logs.

Gift Art - There was a new piece of art put up in July from the ever-spiffy Kelly Hamilton, showing Persia pressing her hams on glass. It's outstanding! The link to the gift section contains adult content.

Babe of the Unspecified Time Period - I've nixed the original "of the month" aspect of this feature, because as my commercial comic schedule becomes a lot more... serious, I find myself with less time to dicker with making sure I finish up a color picture of a babe by the end of every month. The next babe will be Jessica, just as soon as I put the finishing touches on her color picture.

Advertising - I'm going to be getting rid of the advertising options for the front page and the comic pages as well. They were very underused as well as overlooked, and I've recently cancelled my PayPal account, so I have no way of receiving quick, easy payments.

8/3/2005 - Well, there's a lot of new things to report. First off, the Sketch Blog is up and running and doing well! I'm pleased to finally get it off the ground. Currently, my programmer is working on the features that will allow for people with accounts to make comments on the blog entries, themselves. I'm hoping this feature generates even more interest in the blog. The blog updates every Wednesday around Midnight, for those who are curious.

Catalog - The Catboy Servant Owner's Manual is completed and ready for sale, and work has already begun on the Lance Cannon project. It'll be another lengthy pornographic comic similar to Mrs. Doris Henderson that came out in the last quarter of 2005. I'm going to try to finish the project before the end of September.
