CHAPTER 1 "TENSION"
Page 1:
Ecological Red Zone: A portion of planet Olympus which is dominated by the biomass of a particularly dangerous and advanced alien ecology of unknown origin.

From the Hell for Humanity rules .pdf file: 3:12 Red Zones - Red Zones are areas affected by the mysterious alien ecology which cropped up shortly after the plagues. They are dangerous areas still teeming with disease, alien plant life, and fierce creatures, slowly spreading out in sporadic growth periods that see the spread of the smallest forms of life, microbes, followed by fungus and algae, which lead the way for more complex life within the ecology... Currently, hundreds of Red Zones dot the world, though there are only nine of the largest, most spectacular and advanced zones. These are identified as "Midnight", "Jaguar", "Hydra", "Yeti", "Basilisk", "Hades", "Serpent", "Medusa", and "Dragon".

Page 2:
Red Zone "Serpent": The second largest Red Zone in Olympus' Western hemisphere located just north of the South Olympus Confederacy's official line of control. Author's note: Red Zone "Serpent" is actually listed in the Hell for Humanity rules .pdf file as Red Zone "Hydra". This was an oversight that was not caught until after the posting of the comic page. For argument's sake, the databook will use the comic reference as the correct name.

From the Hell for Humanity rules .pdf file: Serpent - Serpent is located perilously close to the trade routes used by the South Olympus Confederacy, threatening to choke off the isthmus that connects the young nation with its frontier communities and friendly traders to the north. Every trading party travels in armed convoys along these routes, and local militia and military organizations have earned a wealth of experience in fighting defensive actions against this spreading ecology. Fearing future encroachment, the Confederacy has been gearing up for a major attack on the ecology, confronting it in coordinated scientific and military attacks.
